CLOVE Beach Wadduwa Marks a New Era of Coastal Luxury with Grand Relaunch

CLOVE Beach Wadduwa has officially marked a new chapter in its journey with a glamorous relaunch event that brought together travel industry professionals, journalists and media personalities for an evening celebrating luxury, hospitality, fashion and contemporary coastal living.

Formerly known as Serene Pavilions, the beachfront property was acquired by MAC Hotels and Villas (Pvt) Ltd., part of the MAC Group, and underwent a transformation before reopening in January 2026 under its new identity as CLOVE Beach Wadduwa. The relaunch reflects the property’s renewed focus on contemporary luxury, personalised service and authentic Sri Lankan hospitality.

Located on five acres of beachfront property and approximately 45 minutes from Colombo, CLOVE Beach Wadduwa offers an intimate and exclusive escape along Sri Lanka’s western coastline. The resort features 12 Balinese-inspired villas, comprising Ocean Villas overlooking the Indian Ocean and secluded Garden Villas designed to offer privacy and tranquillity.

Each villa is thoughtfully designed with private decks, plunge pools and jacuzzis, creating a distinctive blend of comfort, exclusivity and tropical elegance.

The relaunch celebration showcased the resort’s new identity through an evening featuring a mini fashion show, live mixology showcase, music and culinary experiences. A key highlight of the event was the official key handover by Mr. Andre Fernando, Managing Director of MAC Holdings (Pvt) Ltd., symbolising the beginning of a new era for the property.

Beyond its accommodation offering, CLOVE Beach Wadduwa provides a range of facilities and experiences designed around individual guest preferences. Its dining concept allows chefs to tailor meals according to guests’ tastes, while the ocean-facing bar provides a relaxed setting overlooking the coastline. Guests can also enjoy the resort’s spa facilities and fully equipped gym.

The property’s renewed concept places a strong emphasis on personalised hospitality, allowing visitors to experience a more intimate and refined approach to coastal luxury. From its private villas and curated dining experiences to its wellness and leisure facilities, CLOVE Beach Wadduwa aims to create memorable stays for both local and international travellers.

The relaunch also reinforces MAC Group’s growing presence in Sri Lanka’s hospitality sector, introducing a distinctive luxury offering that combines modern design with the natural beauty and warmth of the island’s coastal environment.

Welcoming guests with the traditional Sri Lankan greeting “Ayubowan,” CLOVE Beach Wadduwa positions itself as a sophisticated beachfront retreat where contemporary luxury meets authentic Sri Lankan hospitality.

With its refreshed identity, elevated facilities and commitment to personalised service, CLOVE Beach Wadduwa enters its next chapter with a clear vision of redefining intimate coastal luxury in Sri Lanka.
