The Unlabelled Runway 2026 Brings Fashion, Inclusion and Social Impact to the Fore

The Unlabelled Runway 2026, a purpose-driven fashion initiative celebrating individuality, inclusion, resilience and belonging, was officially unveiled at a press conference held at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo on September 2, ahead of its main showcase on September 25.

Presented by Caroline J Global Holdings, the second edition of The Unlabelled Runway seeks to redefine the conventional fashion-show experience by combining fashion and storytelling with a broader message of social inclusion, representation and empowerment.

The initiative brings together professional models, designers, public personalities and individuals from diverse backgrounds, including young people from partner organisations, persons with disabilities, as well as cancer patients and survivors. By providing a shared platform for individuals from different walks of life, the event aims to challenge social perceptions and labels that can influence how people are viewed and valued.

The Unlabelled Runway 2026 is being organised in collaboration with SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, Indira Cancer Trust, Child Action Lanka and the Roshan Mahanama Trust. The partnerships reflect a shared commitment to creating opportunities, supporting vulnerable communities and promoting a more inclusive society.

Speaking about the initiative, Caroline Jurie, Founder and Chairperson of Caroline J Global Holdings, highlighted the broader role fashion can play in society.

“Fashion has the ability to do more than showcase beauty. It can give people confidence, create visibility and start conversations that matter. The Unlabelled Runway is about removing the labels that society places on people and reminding them that everyone deserves to be seen, valued and given an opportunity to belong,” she said.

A key feature of this year’s showcase will be the Pink Runway, a dedicated segment aimed at raising awareness of breast cancer while recognising the courage and resilience of those affected by the disease. The segment will bring together public figures, professional models and individuals connected to the cause.

The event will also highlight both Sri Lankan and international fashion talent, bringing together designers and creative professionals from different backgrounds to create a wider cultural and fashion experience.

The Unlabelled Runway 2026 is scheduled to take place on September 25, 2026, at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo. The evening will include a VIP reception, the main runway showcase and a cocktail networking experience. Tickets are available through PickMe Explore.

The press conference also marked the launch of the Caroline J Global Holdings website, which serves as a dedicated digital platform highlighting the company’s activities across fashion, beauty, talent, events and purpose-driven initiatives. The platform is expected to provide greater visibility to the company’s projects, collaborations and ongoing work.

With media representatives, corporate leaders, designers, public figures, influencers and other distinguished guests expected to participate, The Unlabelled Runway 2026 aims to establish fashion as more than a platform for style — positioning it as a vehicle for representation, confidence and meaningful social change.

By bringing people together without labels or limitations, the initiative reinforces a simple yet powerful message: every individual deserves the opportunity to be seen, valued and included.
