CEAT Named Sri Lanka’s Most Valuable Tyre Brand by Brand Finance

CEAT has strengthened its position in Sri Lanka’s automotive industry after being named the country’s Most Valuable Tyre Brand in the 2026 Brand Finance Sri Lanka 100 report. The company was also recognised as Sri Lanka’s strongest tyre brand and ranked 11th among the country’s strongest brands across all sectors.

According to the latest Brand Finance assessment, CEAT’s brand value increased to Rs. 2.544 billion as of January 1, 2026, up from Rs. 2.325 billion in 2025. The brand also moved up to 43rd place among Sri Lanka’s 100 most valuable brands, improving by one position compared with the previous year.

CEAT recorded a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 80.3 out of 100, securing its position as the strongest tyre brand in Sri Lanka. It retained its AAA- “Extremely Strong” Brand Strength Rating, reflecting its strong reputation and consumer confidence. The company achieved particularly high scores in the areas of consideration and reputation despite operating in a challenging market environment.

The company’s international standing has also continued to grow. CEAT was ranked the fourth strongest tyre brand globally, recording a BSI score of 84.9, further highlighting its competitiveness and brand strength in international markets.

Commenting on the recognition, CEAT Kelani Holdings Managing Director Ravi Dadlani said the achievement reflects the company’s continued engagement with consumers and its consistent focus on quality, innovation and market responsiveness. He emphasised that sustainable brand strength is built through long-term commitment and delivering value across every customer touchpoint.

CEAT currently sells more than 1.6 million tyres annually and maintains a presence in over 110 countries, including major markets in Europe and the United States. Its Sri Lankan operations manufacture tyres for passenger cars, vans, SUVs, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, three-wheelers and agricultural vehicles.

The company supplies approximately half of Sri Lanka’s automotive tyre demand and exports around 20% of its production to 16 countries. Over the past decade, CEAT has invested more than Rs. 8.5 billion in Sri Lanka, with an additional Rs. 4.5 billion investment commitment further demonstrating its long-term confidence in the country’s automotive and manufacturing sectors.

The latest recognition further establishes CEAT’s position as a leading player in Sri Lanka’s tyre industry, supported by continued investments in technology, innovation, manufacturing capacity and brand development.
