uttiah Muralitharan, a former Sri Lankan cricketer turned businessman, plans to invest 1,400 crore Indian rupees to establish a beverage and confectionery factory in Badanaguppe, Karnataka, according to the state’s Minister for Commerce.
“A 1,000 crore rupee manufacturing facility is currently being developed in Chamarajanagar district, with the investment set to increase to 1,400 crore rupees. Muralitharan remains dedicated to maintaining operations in Dharwad,” stated Indian state minister M B Patil on his X (Twitter) account after a meeting with Muralitharan.
“Today’s meeting concentrated on coordination efforts, with department officials actively providing the necessary support. Attendees included Shri Selvakumar, Principal Secretary of Industries, and Commissioner Smt. Gunjan Krishna.”
