Sri Lanka rupee closes weaker at 306.00/20 to US dollar

n Friday, the Sri Lankan rupee weakened, closing at 306.00/20 against the US dollar, compared to 305.70/90 on Thursday, according to dealers. Bond yields showed a downward trend.
The yield on the bond maturing on December 15, 2026, decreased to 10.95/11.15 percent from the previous 11.00/30 percent.
For the bond maturing on February 15, 2028, the yield fell to 11.90/98 percent, down from 11.85/12.05 percent.
The bond set to mature on September 15, 2029, saw a slight increase in yield, closing at 12.20/30 percent, up from 12.15/30 percent.
Meanwhile, the bond maturing on June 1, 2033, closed with a yield of 12.35/50 percent, down from 12.35/95 percent.
