The All Island Lottery Dealers’ Association (AILDA) stated that they will halt the sale of lottery tickets across the nation, should the Finance Minister not comply with the demands presented to him.
Speaking to the media, President of the AILDA Krishantha Marambage stated that the AILDA had requested an audience with the Minister of Finance Mangala Samaraweera to discuss proposals and concessions for lottery dealers.
He however stated that no response was made by the Minister to the attempts made by the AILDA to hold discussions with him. Krishantha Marambage further stated that should a further silence continue, the AILDA will stop the sale of lottery tickets across the country.
